Bimini Weekend Getaway

by admin

Are you looking for a fun getaway and ready to disconnect from the world for the weekend?

Than you have to check out The Bimini Islands. Bimini is a little island from the Bahamas that’s located about 50 miles east from Miami. Bimini is made up of three islands: North Bimini, South Bimini, and East Bimini. North Bimini has various shops, restaurants, and bars. South Bimini is more of a small community of homes knows as Port Royale. This island has beautiful white sand beach, snorkeling, boat tours, and believe me with in 3 days you can do and see everything this island has to offer. Remember you need to take your passport for this trip!!

Getting there is not that hard:

Option A: You can take a seaplane with companies like (Cape Air).

Option B: You can take a flight with a known airline that goes to Bimini like (Silver airways)

Option C: This is the most common one for Miami Locals and the one you save the most money with. Which is taking a Ferry with (FRS Caribbean) you can do a weekend ferry as well as a one-day ferry. I personally have gone 3 times and they have all been with FRS Caribbean.

The best and most effective way to get around is renting a golf cart, which you will see many vendors trying to rent them to you ones you get to the island. Just make sure to take cash for this!

If you’re thinking of where to stay you have a few options. I personally stayed at the Hilton at World Resorts Bimini. You can choose from over 480 townhouse or villas, if you’re looking into staying in a townhouse or villa I would suggest checking out the prices through Airbnb.

What do to In Bimini:

Suba Dive

Snorkel with sharks

Sailing

Snorkel at the Sapona Wreck

Where to eat in Bimini:

Stuarts Conch Stand

Joe’s Conch Shack

Edith’s Pizza

Sherri’s Beach Bar: You must try a Pina Colada with a fried lobster (It’s just the best)

If you ready for a weekend of fun, delicious seafood, and away from everyone I definitely suggest a weekend getaway to Bimini.

Xoxo, Ady
